New Bold Trinity Signet ring in Sterling and 14K Gold! Signet diameter is around 5/8" on top, standing off the finger in true signet style. Plenty of ventillation through the open side panel knotwork to avoid moisture trapping. The shank behind narrows to 5mm, making this a comfotable feel for a larger ring body when properly fit
This is our newest prototype for a handsome mens ring, or for women who like larger ring types. Get out your sealing wax and send a letter to the King! Top area of the sterling platform is solid across the top for a bold look and stable platen for the soldered 14K gold trinity design (cast separately, no plating in my studio!).
Although there are many variations and designs associated with knotwork expression of the trinity, the trinity concept is a symbol named for the Holy Trinity (Father, Son, Holy Spirit), and is one of the most recognizable designs in all of Celtic Art. Although the namesake is from the Church, there are many other tri-elements in the celtic belief system which embody meanings in sets of 3. Some of these include: "Life, Death and Rebirth" as a part of the eternal cycle of life, as well as the Bardic tradional elements of "Earth, Sea and Sky" (Earth/Water/Air, and indeed "Fire" is separate and governed by the goddess Bridgid). The Mother of all Trinities in "Celtic Old School" would embody the "Triple Goddess" of maiden, mother and wise woman. Animal associations, Gods and Goddesses often contain 3 "primary" aspects, adding a very full range of potential meanings to this classic pattern. The added circle is a simple variation expressing further the cycle of life contained in the life, death, and rebirth process. Copyright 1996-2020.
