Dragonfly of the Goddesses!

This is a rare design that flew into my display! Actually this is a collaboration with my long time friend and jewelry associate Jim Walton during our time in Colorado together in the 80's to present. We collaborate on several items, this being mainly Jim's wonderful carving along with my studio finishing techniques. A 2mm chain is shown, sold separately if needed. Various stone cabachon types are periodically availabler. Amethyst is shown here, but we do a lovely green stone (chrome diopside) and others.

Please note!

STONE VARIATIONS ARE IN PROGRESS, SO PLEASE INQUIRE CURRENT STATUS IF INTERESTED DURING OUT OF STOCK NOTICE.

This is a large piece at 2" long with a 1 3/4" wingspan. This is a combination of sculptural wax work and engraving components that are soldered together as a multilayer build, including a garnet cabochon setting. The wing patterns include 4 goddess images, with their hair turning into the knotwork. Very original design, featuring the fine finishing of Sean's jewelry bench and attention to detail. This piece still has a rustic quality with the presence of work from yesteryear.

In Celtic Mythology and Fairy Tales, the dragonflies were emmisarries of the spirit world, and were protectors of the fairies with their amazing abilities in the natural world. They could move freely between the seen and unseen worlds, and are often associated with those whom have gone across the great water before us. May it still be so that we can appreciate the beliefs and images of ancient cultures as they apply to modern living.
