This is a petite ring in some ways, yet quite sturdy and artistically descriptive in detail & design, including the fiercely guarded faceted gemstones, currently mainly in amethyst. This ring has a fairly slender shank behind, making this my most easily wearable of the dragon rings on feminine hands. The Stone Dragon Ring is also great for women, which includes a medium build shank for those who like more substantive rings that are still femine as far as dragons go... Amethyst has been one of the most historic stones in many cultures as a protective companion while traveling.

PRIOR TO THE MIDDLE AGES WHEN DRAGON IMAGES WERE DEMONIZED AS THREATENING, THE MYTHOLOGY SURROUNDING DRAGONS IN THE EARTH BASED CULTURES FOCUSED ON DRAGONS AS GUARDIANS WHO WOULD SPRING INTO ACTION WHEN THE EARTH WAS THREATENED!
